Single Session Therapy is a self-contained therapy session, a one-time meeting.

This approach is based on the idea that you can benefit from therapeutic interventions and support in just one single session, without the pressure to come back for more sessions unless you want to.

Here are some key aspects of how this self contained therapy session works:

Goal-Focused

In single-session therapy, we work together to identify specific goals or issues that you want to talk about during the session. The focus is working on the most pressing concerns and providing targeted interventions to help you achieve your desired outcomes.

Solution Focused

Using a solution focused approach, emphasising practical strategies and solutions to help you overcome your challenges. Using techniques such as problem solving, goal setting and new ways of thinking to help you see things from a new perspective and make positive changes.

Time-Limited

Brief and time-limited, just one 50 minute session. This one-off time frame encourages both of us to prioritise and focus in on the most important issues, without getting bogged down in long-term exploration or analysis.

Strengths Based

Focusing on your existing strengths, resources, and resilience. Helping you to identify and build upon those strengths that you already have to address your concerns and achieve your goals.

Talk about ways for you to cope with what you're going through and  brainstorm ideas for how you can move forward.

Just like regular therapy sessions, this is a safe space for you to express yourself open and honestly, confidentiality is assured. Hopefully you'll leave the session feeling a little lighter and more clear about your thoughts and feelings, along with some ideas and tools you can use in your daily life.

... If you feel like you'd benefit from more sessions we can talk about that too.

or if you're ready why not contact me now and we can have a chat and see whether this could be useful for you.
